Dr. Poon is a Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Department (COPHS) and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Michael E. 德贝基弗吉尼亚州医疗中心. She is an active volunteer/speaker in the Aging Mastery Program (senior community group) at the TSU Center on the Family. In 2019, she hosted the first community town hall meeting at Emancipation Park to engage seniors from a predominantly Black community in the proposal planning through the Pipeline to Proposal PCORI funding. Dr. Poon is responsible for overseeing the administration of all components of the IDC Program. 具体地说, she will take the leadership role in assembling proposal review committees, working with reviewers to evaluate pilot projects, and working with IDC participants, ADC and Advisory Committee (AC) to assess the IDC program's overall effectiveness implement recommendations.
